Join us for a Sunday Service honoring Emory Douglas, Minister of Culture for the Black Panther Party and the revolutionary artist who transformed printmaking into a weapon for the people. Through bold imagery and radical design, Douglas gave visual voice to liberation movements—and showed us the power of art as strategy.
This service will include:
A reflection on Douglas’ legacy and the role of design in movements for justice
A hands-on poster-making activity inspired by the visual language of protest
Collective grounding, art-making, and community sharing
All are welcome. Children are invited to participate with RCC, and kids under 5 may attend with a caregiver.
Let’s gather to make, to remember, and to imagine new ways forward.
